This beautiful brownstone is an oldie but a goody designed by Jeffrey Bilhuber. I recently came across this living room again and it inspired me to take a closer look at this space and I have to say that it is the art that really caught my attention this time around. I actually love it all, the design, the colors, the fabric choices, the furniture choices, but I want to focus on the art, which seems approachable to me. We can be inspired by this space and find similar affordable photography and prints that provide a similar look and feel. Also, the arrangement of the art is creative, fun and is high impact. There are also great ideas of art you can DIY. If you frame it nicely I think you can get away with a lot!
Totally in love with this butterfly inspired Halloween table setting. So fabulous! You need to see the entire tablescape over at Coco & Kelly. It is not to be missed. And by the way those plates are not Fornasetti!! Can you believe?! They are melamime plates from here and you need these glasses too! A big thank you to Splendor Styling for the heads up that this tablescape existed. And a few more links-

I could actually dedicate an entire post to those trifle cups....I'm in love with them and the price just makes them even more attractive (Uhm $25 for a set of 8? is that even possible?). I can just envision all the beautiful desserts I would make for my guests in these elegant and sparkly cups- chocolate mousse, meringue and strawberry trifle, you could even use them to serve the simplest of desserts- ice cream! They really are a great find and think they are an entertaining essential. Now, about ear cuffs...I am a classical girl at heart so I have not been warming up to ear cuffs, but these are making me have a change of heart. These have the classical elements, pearls and diamonds in a beautiful setting. I think I would wear it and feel kind of rebellious and cool at the same time. These match edgy with classic- a perfect combination for me!
I have another beautiful coffee table book you need to know about, Carrier and Company- Positively Chic Interiors by Vendome Press. All the interiors photographed are stunning. I have been happily pouring over this book all weekend. The rooms are timeless yet contemporary. The husband and wife team, Jesse Carrier and Mara Miller, design spaces that range from elegantly traditional to luxuriously minimalist to glamorously bohemian. There really is a little bit for everyone. Here are a few of my favorite images from the book. Get ready to pin away.....these images will serve as great inspiration when you are designing your next space-
If you love these shoes (so fashion), browned butter pear pie, traveling through Italy and beautiful photography then you will love Rose and Ivy Journal, an online magazine to feed your soul. Alison is one of my favorite bloggers and real life friend whose dedication and hardwork I admire so much. Her latest issue is a must-read.....that pear pie though.....that needs to happen stat in this house. A few more links-
[ purple book collection | painting- Pink Lemonade | pink basket | upholstered stool | rug | Otomi pillow | gold étagère | acrylic and brass coffee table ]
Home sweet home! I have a couple of new paintings and another one on its way (so excited to share with you all about them!) so this has me rearranging art and thinking of reupholstering a few old pieces of furniture. So you can say I'm in a nesting mode. I think inspiration goes in spurts sometimes and I'm feeling the juices flowing these days. Here are a few things I found myself coveting this week. How about that collection of purple books!!? I know my #shelfies could benefit from those! How pretty would they look in my grey bookcase? I'm convinced they would look spectacular.
Few things are better than unexpected sales in the middle of the week right? I just found out that SHOPBOP is having 25% off everything in its site with code: INTHEFAM25. Take a peek during your work break but if you are looking for some quick ideas here are the things that caught my eye-
|| I'm having a minor obsession with capes at the moment, which I find so feminine and sophisticated. I fell in love with this white one. I just think a white cape during the winter is the prettiest thing you can own.
|| This skirt for the price ($80) seems all kinds of wonderful.
|| Dying over this key chain!! I can already envision getting a whole bunch for Christmas gifts. And they have camels too!
|| This simple and elegant dress is perfect for those holiday parties coming up.
|| The perfect date top. And the perfect everyday top.
|| And last but not least- fringed booties! If you were on the fence...now is the time.
There are a ton more things. Take a look here.

Nothing beats a beautiful coffee table book with gorgeous Palm Beach interiors, am I right? Let me tell you all about my latest book obsession, Palm Beach Chic by Vendome Press. Palm Beach interiors have always been admired for their imaginative and chic designs that have created cult followings for all those who love tropical looks. In this new book, Palm Beach Chic, author Jennifer Ash Rudisk, takes readers on an insider's tour of twenty-five homes in and around Palm Beach, stunningly illustrated with photographs by Jessica Klewicki Glynn. The outdoor spaces are just as stunning as the indoor spaces. The book captures the mythic setting of this American paradise. Let me show you some samples of the beautiful images you can swoon over-
Loeffler Randall's Fall collection is so good! What I'm really in love with are the super chic and furry bomber jackets. They are a bit odd, and bold but totally cool. I'm also loving all the fringe they added to their clutches and even to the heels. The brown and lavender color palette is unusual but I have to say I think it works beautifully! Here is more-
I bet wearing this cute shearling cheetah bomber jacket would be the coziest experience.
Out of all the tie-up flats I have seen. These are my favorite!
And this lavender bomber is too cute! And I would totally wear it if you are wondering. But really, the entire Loeffler Randall Fall collection is fabulous.

I recently learned about Andrew Brown and his beautiful interiors and have really enjoyed looking through his portfolio. I picked out here a few of my favorite shots. I find his style classic yet eclectic and very curated. There are some wonderful ideas to gather from these images.....upholstered double doors with nailheads, beautiful gallery walls, dark and white walls combined, mirrors above beds....take a peek and get inspired-
Now we can all have a bit of Lenny Kravitz style! I'm so excited about his collaboration with CB2. I have, for some years, lusted after his Paris apartment. It's cool, edgy and comfortable. Definitely fit for a rock star. And the fact that he has a Pedro Friedeberg gold chair in his bathroom confirms the fact that he has good taste. His CB2 collection is pretty fab- the items are modern and cool at CB2 prices ( a pretty good combination in my opnion). Let me show you a few favorites of this collaboration-
If you love monograms you will adore this book, Monograms for the Home, by Kimberly Whitman. Growing up I always had the prettiest monogrammed sheets and towels with my first and middle name initials "AM"- for Albertina Maria. Because all these sheets and towels were so beautiful and of such good quality my mom kept everything for her grandchildren to enjoy someday. And good thing we had a daughter because now all these monogrammed treasures could come out to see the light of day again. And, of course, I was going to make sure my daughter's first and middle initial would also be "AM", so she could give a second life to all my childhood sheets and towels.
When monograms are this important to you, you know you will absolutely adore a book about the topic, especially when there is such fabulous monogram inspiration behind every page. A book like this can only have been created by someone with amazing style and taste and Kimberly Whitman unites these qualities and then some. She really takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary. She is beautiful, sweet and so hardworking (this is her seventh book!), plus she has a blog (for all those interior design readers she was part of the One Room Challenge this last Spring as well) writes articles for magazines, does radio and TV appearances, and is mother to two adorable kids. The launch of her book, Monograms for the Home, comes at a perfect time for the inauguration of Halo Home, a line of spectacular linens she designed that can be monogrammed. Here they are-

I feel like dark blue is having it's moment in interior design. I have seen fabulous dark blue libraries, dining rooms, living rooms (mine for example) and maybe it's through all this exposure that I love it even more as time passes. This blue credenza would look spectacular anywhere, but I can really see it in a monochromatic blue room. I wish I could build furniture and make one for myself. Can you imagine being able to build furniture? Not Ikea hacks like the ones I have done, but real solid furniture. I should look into some workshop classes. Anyway, some other cute items I found around the web-
