Two things I adore about this kitchen by Sarah Richardson- it doesn't feel like a kitchen and and it is very different and unique. I love a kitchen that is an extension of a home's aesthetic and that presents itself as perfectly integrated to the home. Depending on the angle, this kitchen could look like a dining room, a bedroom even and of course a kitchen. It is comfortable, homey and so unique. With so many images out there, blogs and sites such as pinterest the imagery overload we get is massive and people start decorating the same way...same fabric, same chair, same artwork.....and after a while many people's homes start looking similar, with no real personality shining through. In this environment it is very refreshing to see a design that is truly it's own! See more-

So, I guess we can say it is Valentine's Week here on the blog since every post has been about Valentine's. But it's such a fun day isn't it? Some sweet and pretty treats for your besties, mammas and loved ones. Here are the details-
We are very excited that Valentine's Day is so close and we are starting to prepare. I love perusing pinterest for some clever DIY cards that my daughter and I can make together. This year we have plenty of things on our plate and was so happy and relieved when Minted (you know it is one of my all-time fave places for personalized Christmas Cards and Art) reached out and offered me a set of Kid Valentine's Day cards, plus they would be giving away three $50 credits to three of my readers to get some cards for themselves! Of course there was no way I could pass this up. My daughter and I were so impressed with their collection and even had a hard time picking out our favorite. This was the clear winner. And in the back we chose to have a game of tic-tac-toe printed so the kids can play with their candy hearts! So sweet and perfect.
Beautiful linens make me weak in the knees. I love having them and using them when company comes over. I enjoy building special memories around them and imagining how my daughter will use them when she is older. I already own beautiful placemats and tablecloths that my mom has passed down to me. I also have jaw-dropping bed linens from my grandmother and even my mother-in-law has started to give me some of her special things. I can say one thing- my daughter better like to entertain when she is older! I am amassing quite a collection.
I was so happy when I came to know about Hibiscus Linens and their beautiful hand-made work. And I was especially tickled by this mixed Valentine's set. These are traditional, modern and sweet - all in one! What a perfect Valentine's Day gift for your loved ones!
Everyone in blogland is talking about Michelle Adams' remodeled home. She was part of the Domino team and then co-founded Lonny Magazine to then becoming Editor for the relaunched Domino Magazine. She has set trends, identified them....basically, any interior design blogger adores her and her style so we are excited to see her new home here. I just love seeing how her taste keeps evolving and how she has rearranged what she owns in such beautiful ways. Some advice we can extrapolate from her homes....it's better to buy just a few good things that you love than many not so good things just to fill up the space. You can always use the good things over and over again. This Schumacher's Pyne Hollyhock fabric is one of my absolute favorites....you can see how Michelle first used it for her bed....then her office....and now her dining room!-
I think #EveryoneNeedsANude in their home, no matter how small or humble your art collection is. I have blogged about it before and continue to be mesmerized by them. I recently added a small nude to my powder bathroom aside from the one I have in my closet and just love it. Today I want to share with you two artists whose nudes I'm totally #obsessed with. Let's start with the art of Gee Gee Collins. Here are some of my favorites-
I love a good white kitchen and this one is no exception. This fabulous kitchen renovation by Kristin from Bliss@Home is a night to day transformation. The open shelving, the marble back-splash, the wall trim, the banquette, the studded shades, her lighting choices...it all translates to a sensational kitchen. You can draw great inspiration from this one. You need to see the rest of it-
Blue and white combined is elegant and classic. I love it as decor for the home and on clothing and accessories for you. From China to Europe blue and white porcelain is well liked and has inspired architects, fashion designers, interior designers, artists....(and bloggers! see my closet here. There is something about lilac and blue and white!). I'm still trying to find the perfect way to incorporate it into my life. My home needs a bit more. I'm working on it.
I got a new camera for Christmas! And I'm just starting to explore working with it. I need some lessons stat because I'm feeling a bit insecure, but I have to say I'm loving this upgrade in quality and I hope to bring better and better photos for you.
I just had to show off my new amazing necklace from this BuDhaGirl Haute Couture one-of-a-kind collection. It comes with it's own black form and acrylic case so you can not only show it off when you wear it but also showcase it in your home as a fabulous stand-alone piece. Beauty must be displayed! Doesn't this inspire you to see your fancy shoes, special handbags and classic scares differently? Intrigued by the necklace? See the full collection here.

Did you all buy lotto tickets? I have had so much fun daydreaming what I would do with all that money. What would be the first thing you did aside from buying everything on my board above? How would you inaugurate your new resources? Hmmmm.... I think I would plan some sort of a special trip. Anyway, I fell in love with this cute and colorful zebra ottoman that aside from it being adorable open up for storage. Genius! This tiered vintage table is spectacular. I can just envision a beige and tan colored bedroom with gold accents and this table. So elegant!
It's an exciting day! I will share a fun DIY and you get to see me speaking in a video!! Oh my!! My hair is a mess but I'm hoping you all love me anyway. And now that you will see me speaking does that mean we are taking this relationship to the next level? Kidding aside, you will love these DIY decoupaged plates (I adore mine!) and you will be intrigued by this video system I will introduce you to.
Let me give you a bit of background. My good friends started a company called iTOi where with the use of an ipad you can make your own videos with their app that
has teleprompter capabilities (no more videos without eye contact! Finally!). You can basically write your own script
and time it to your photos as I will do in this presentation. I'm not super techie and thought iTOi was very easy to use (and dare I say fun?!). This gadget is very versatile and has so many applications, even for bloggers. Here is my video-
We all love collecting something. And there is nothing more rewarding than displaying this collection for others to enjoy because it is an investment of resources but most importantly of time and patience. I collect necklaces (I adore them!) and books (don't we all!) and I wish I could say I collect art (I would have to have so much more) but I do enjoy purchasing every piece we own. Like Emily Henderson above, you can collect all sorts of things or something more specific (like all the below). Here are some ways others have incorporated collections in their homes-
Christmas never happened here. After some hard work the house is back to normal. The tree is out, decorations are put away, and all the ornaments have found their new home. And this year I'm extra happy with my ornament box. In previous years I used to put all my ornaments in a large bin- some in plastic bags, others wrapped in tissue paper so they wouldn't break....it was quite messy. But now it was actually kind of fun to take down all the ornaments and put our little treasures in their new place. This box is from The Ultimate Christmas Storage. I have ornaments that have been passed down and are quite delicate and this box offers the ideal and worry free storage solution.

I can't believe the Holidays are over....we are just putting away all our Christmas stuff and it's kind of sad to think how quickly it comes and goes. But pairing the excitement for the New Year with a little hunt for online treasures always help lifts the mood. Yes? This gorgeous etagere with marble shelves is really delicate and beautiful.
These handbags by Spanish brand M2Malletier had caught my attention a few years ago because of their simple geometric shape and the contrasting elegant and stark handlebar. But, it was only recently that I learned more about the line, the designers and their headquarters (which is what I most fell in love with). The design duo are two young Colombian designers who met at Parson's. They design out of an old cement factory in the outskirts of Barcelona that was redesigned into an architectural masterpiece by the father-in-law of one of the designers. The space is frotress-like yet delicate if they can even go together. Take a look-
As I look into adding some finishing touches to our guest bedroom I'm pondering adding a clear desk. It could be acrylic. It could be glass. It's not a high traffic area so I'm not worried about hand prints (that would be a pain to clean!). I'm just completely in love with the ethereal qualities and lightness a clear desk provides. It gives a sense of orderliness in my opinion. Here are a few different examples-
